Reporting to the Senior Pastor, responsibilities include: children&rsquo;s ministry program development (to 5th&nbsp;grade), volunteer recruitment and training, attending staff meetings to coordinate with other church ministries, oversight of nursery worker and leadership of children&rsquo;s portion of multigenerational church functions (e.g. retreats, family communion).</span><br /><br /><span>Strong organizational and relational skills desired along with the ability to articulate a personal Christian spiritual formation process. The goal of this partnership is to provide housing for  at-risk/homeless students of Eastside Academy in two homes adjacent to  the northwest corner of the church property.</p>
<p>These  students often come from homes where drugs, abuse or addictions are so  prevalent that it is unsafe for them to live there. With the  understanding that there little resources to assist these youth, we  believe we have a shared call to address their needs. Eastside Academy  has long sought to inspire change in the lives of at-risk youth through  education, counseling, recovery and life skills programs in a  Christ-centered environment. It has always been their dream to offer  safe housing for &nbsp;students who are in need. We believe that by  leveraging the different strengths of our organizations that we can  create an environment where home, school, and church are able to provide  a means for these student residents and the wider community to  experience the transforming power of Jesus. There will be one home for  boys and another for girls that will be staffed by resident house  parents from Union Gospel Mission, who will reside in each home. The  homes will be a resource where student-residents can continue to improve  their lives through intentional Christian community and fellowship.</p>
<p>As  a result we are currently looking for 4&nbsp;Re:New Center House Associates  (2 male &amp; 2 female). Position is full-time and each Associate will  engage in ministry within Center House, Re:New Homes as respite care  workers and as an intern within a BelPres ministry. The Associates will  support the ministry of the Re:New Homes which provide a family  environment and housing for Eastside Academy students. Associates will  also have the opportunity to participate in the ongoing ministries of  BelPres, gaining insight and experience. The position will include  living in an intentional Christian community setting, vocational and  personal reflection, opportunities for spiritual direction, mentoring  and service.&nbsp; This experience is focused on an opportunity to develop  the habits of the heart that weave together belief and behavior, to  shape and sustain an integrated Christian life and worldview</p>
