The inaugural event will premiere in Seattle on June 7th and 8th with a 2011 award-winning Sundance film, a collection of inspiring short films, thought-provoking Q&A sessions with the filmmakers, and two interactive workshops. Tickets are now available for purchase on their Box Office page.

Sound View Memorial Day Work Weekend

May 25-28, 2012 - All ages - Free!!!

Consider partnering with Sound View over Memorial Day Weekend as we prepare camp for our summer ministry. Numerous projects need to get done from cleaning to carpentry to trail maintenance to getting the tents ready for another great summer. There will be tasks for all abilities and skill levels. The majority of work is done on Saturday, May 26th so feel free to come for just the day or for the whole weekend. Please RSVP online with the days and meals you will be attending. This event is provided free of charge although donations to help cover weekend food costs are greatly appreciated.

A Scottish Tea in Moclips

Everyone is invited to “A Scottish Tea” Sunday, May 20 at Chapel by the Sea Presbyterian Church in Moclips, Washington. This is the first year for this occasion and celebrates Presbyterian Heritage Sunday. It is a free event, from noon-2 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Meal Arrangements: The cost of the meal is covered Seattle Presbytery's per capita budget. A freewill offering will be taken at the table during dinner, which will be donated to a mission of the host church's choosing.

Parking: Parking is available, but carpooling is always encouraged.

You may even wonder what this is all about. We hope that it’s all about meaning. In other words, in order to ensure that we get to the heart of the matter when we’re together as a presbytery, we decided that instead of creating another Spirit (for the moment), we’d create a new format for our presbytery meeting papers that communicates the most important things that are going on in our presbytery. Meaning is now front and center.

Ignite @ UPC

Ignite is an introductory class on the person and work of the Holy Spirit from a Presbyterian-Reformed point of view. As Presbyterians, we don't talk about the Holy Spirit much. But we should! The Holy Spirit is an equal part of the Trinity and fills an important role in implementing God's purposes for the world. Learn about the Holy Spirit's inward work of transformation and outward work of empowerment over a day and a half. Mike Neelley from Tierra Nueva and Nick Krantz from Foster Tukwila Presbyterian Church will facilitate the teaching, along with prayer teams and worship leaders.

When: Friday, May 18 at 6:30–9:30pm and Saturday, May 19 at 9am–4pm
