The Session of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church is searching for a person to fill the role of their Director of Christian Education. In this role we seek someone who does not so much see her/his role as being the director of a program but the facilitator of the relationships which provide a context for the spiritual formation of our children and youth (birth to 17). Job Posting: Childcare Attendant – Magnolia Presbyterian Church
The general responsibilities of the childcare attendant are to provide a loving, safe environment for our young children, to help them with age appropriate activities, and to take care of any needs the children may have.
The childcare attendant will cover the nursery (infants – age 3) during our worship service year-round, assist our regular Sunday School teachers with preschool or elementary classes on weeks when there are no children in the nursery, and ensure that kid spaces are tidied up at the end of the day.
Hours: Regular hours are 9:00 am to between 12 and 12:30 pm on Sunday mornings. Summer hours are 10:00 am to 12:00 or 12:30 pm. A few additional hours are possible periodically for special activities or services.
Compensation: $15.00 per hour, averaging 2.5 - 3.5 hours per Sunday. Each week’s precise hours to be recorded on a time card in the church office.
