From Congregational Leadership Northwest:
Here in the Pacific Northwest, where many people we meet in our everyday lives have little acquaintance with or interest in life in Christ's Church, one congregation has made some progress in welcoming new Christians to faith and preparing them for baptism...and beyond.
Spend a Saturday morning with us at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, 7500 Greenwood North in Seattle, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon to hear the story of this congregation featured in Diana Butler Bass' book, Christianity for the Rest of Us.
Pastor Paul Hoffman, who has guided this ministry for the past fifteen years, and lay members of the leadership team for the process called The WAY will be on hand to share inspiring stories of faith transformation, lead workshops, and answer questions. The day's take-away will be first steps in establishing such a process in your congregation, so the best configuration of attendees is a pastor and several lay leaders from your congregation.
Feel free to contact CLN or Paul at Phinney Ridge (206.783.2350 firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have questions in advance of registering.
Cost: $35 per person, $30 for congregational teams of three or more
