Living with Hope, March 5-7

Seattle Presbytery

John Knox Presbyterian Church’s 2010 Annual Spring Conference

In an environment where the 24/7 expectations and demands of work and home create a continual sense of fatigue and an inability to keep up, and in a world where national and international political and economic institutions seem to be failing in their most fundamental duties, how do we as human beings live with hope? Rikk Watts, Professor of New Testament at Regent College will explore these questions and seek to challenge us to “discover again as if for the first time” the transforming message of God’s continuing work in human history.

The conference begins with a soup dinner on Friday evening at 5:00 PM followed by Worship at 7:00 PM and Rikk Watts, Session 1 at 7:30 PM. Saturday we gather for refreshments at 8:30 AM, begin with worship at 9:00 AM followed by Rikk Watts, Session 2 at 9:30 AM. The conference ends around 1:00 PM. There is no charge for the conference but we ask that you register ahead of time so we know how many to expect. There is also a children’s program offered for conference attendees.
