The Lecture Series of University UCC presents Walter Brueggemann

Seattle Presbytery

Walter Brueggemann is the William Marcellus McPheet-ers Professor Emeritus of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary. He also is an Ordained United Church of Christ Minister. Dr. Brueggemann is the au-thor of Prayers for a Privileged People, Mandate to Difference: An Invitation to the Contemporary Church, and The Word Militant: Preaching a Decentering Word. Described as “provocative, interesting, challenging and imaginative”, Walter Brueggemann has written 58 books, hundreds of articles and several commentaries on books of the Bible. Dr. Brueggemann will be speak-ing on the book of Psalms, the “original recovery program”.
