Sunday, January 15, 2012:
MIPC to Co-Sponsor a weekend of events with Herzl-Ner Tamid Jewish Congregation
*All events are open to any interested person of the intended audience. 

Noted Jewish theologian and scholar, Prof. Amy-Jill Levine, Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt University Divinity School will be coming to MIPC on Sunday, January 15, 2012.  We have been invited to co-sponsor her visit with Herzl-Ner Tamid, where Prof. Levine will be speaking at a number of other events at the synagogue on the subject of Jewish/Christian relations.  These events will be open to the community over the weekend of January 13-15, 2012.  We are delighted that she will be preaching at both of our morning services on January 15th, as well as teaching during the 9:15 Christian Education Hour on the subject of “Jesus' Parables as Jewish Stories”.  
We look forward to welcoming Dr. Levine to the Mercer Island Community and to MIPC.   All are welcome.  All events will be held at Herzl-Ner Tamid on Mercer Island unless otherwise indicated.
