We learned today that the Rev. Dr. Leo Marmol, who was a forensic psychologist on the faculty of SPU, and a parish associate at Northminster for a year, died this week in Claremont, California. Leo was a valued member of the Presbytery’s Permanent Judicial Commission for several years. Fluent in Spanish as well as English, Leo served a number of Spanish-speaking Presbyterian congregations over his long and distinguished career, including a church in San Dimas, CA, after he retired and moved into the Pilgrim Place retirement community in Claremont. He is survived by his widow, Carolyn Loper.
