There is a movement brewing in the PC(USA), a movement of the Spirit that is shaking up the church. Times have changed. We can no longer assume the same things about church that we once did. We realize that the ways of our past are just that, the past. For the church to move towards God’s future for us will require new skills, new forms and a new, fresh dose of God’s uncontained movement! That’s why the planning team for this event has chose the theme, “Uncontained: God’s movements above, below and beyond the surface ” for this year’s gathering. For years, we’ve tried to use formulaic models and prepackaged programs to help us do church. Those days are gone.
