S.L.A.M. Trips is a program of Mending Wings, a Native American youth organization on the Yakama Indian Reservation in Washington State. Slam Trips facilitates cross cultural, short-term mission trips on the Yakama Reservation.

S.L.A.M. Trips Director Job Overview: Oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of S.L.A.M. Trips including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, budget and directing program activities.

Salary:  $30,000 + $5,000 in benefits

Job Title: Temporary Associate Pastor of Ministries to Children, Youth and Families
About Southminster:  We are a congregation of about 200 in Des Moines, Washington – a suburban community a few miles south of Seattle.  We are a community of people seeking to be like Jesus and to serve God by loving generously, proclaiming boldly, and giving with grace and humility to all.  
Job Summary:  This Temporary Pastor position supports our ministries to children (nursery through 6th grade) and youth (7th through 12th grade) and their families.  The successful applicant will actively serve our congregation by directing and carrying out programming as well as building relationships with children, youth and their families. The applicant must be ready to be or already ordained in the Presbyterian Church.

Dir. of Handbells - BelPres

Seattle Presbytery

Direct one, intergenerational, 5 octave ensemble

Rehearses Wednesdays, 4p to 6p

Rings in worship every other month, September through May

·         5 octave Schulmerich (factory refurbished 2014)

·         4 octave Malmark handchimes

·         Port-a-bell cases, tables, mallets, etc

·         Outstanding, cataloged library, with budget for new music

The successful candidate will have proven experience in directing and developing handbell ensembles, with excellent teaching skills to demonstrate all ringing techniques.

The handbells of Bellevue Presbyterian have participated in numerous international tours throughout Europe and Russia, and in professional recordings.

The Ministry of Music involves over 300 volunteer musicians in weekly rehearsals, six full time staff and four adjunct directors, eight other part time musicians.

A competitive, professional compensation rate is being offered.

Position to start 29 October 2014.
