Qualifications
Be a growing, maturing Christian, giving evidence of faith, hope, love, and other fruits of the
Spirit. Look for the work of God in all of life, and in the lives of those around you.
 Carries out both personal and professional relationships with Christian integrity.
 Tangible love for and commitment to Jesus’ bride, the Church, and willingness to
become a part of the particular Inglewood Church family while serving here.
 Deep knowledge of Scripture, clear and ongoing obedience to it, and ability to
instruct others in the same.
 Demonstrated love for children and youth, and ability to attract them to Jesus and
nurture tangible spiritual growth through relationship with them.
 Strong evidence of being able to lead, train, and care for volunteers as part of a team.
 Comfort with – and willingness to teach and grow within – an unapologetically
Reformed theological framework, grounded in the Creeds and Heidelberg Catechism.
 Formal theological training desired, but not required if equivalent mentoring and
self-study can be demonstrated.

Worship Dir. - Seattle Community Church

Seattle Presbytery

Title: Worship Director. Part time (10 hrs./week)

Purpose:
To provide leadership in worship and the areas of music.
Accountability:
Accountable to the pastor as head of staff.

Responsibilities:
 1st worship: PowerPoint presentation.
 2nd worship: praise band and audio/visual.
 Training and coordination of volunteers for the different aspects of the Sunday worship.
 Train potential worship leaders.
 Facilitate potential church choir for special Sundays (Easter and Christmas.)
 Be at church for special worships, like Easter, Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve.
 Help congregation use their creativity and musical gifts in serving.
 Be a general support for Pastor Fred Choy's vision for worship at SCC.

Requirements:
 Understanding of contemporary worship with background in traditional worship.
 Background in music.
 Proficiency with computers: MS Word, MS Excel & MS Outlook (email).
 Two years experience in leading worship.

Coordinates inspiring marketing of department vision and initiatives through soliciting, editing, and submitting material for various media. Works collaboratively with others to ensure department needs are handled in a way that aligns with Bellevue Presbyterian Church’s goals and vision.
