Community Engagement Residency - Union Church of Seattle

Seattle Presbytery

Summary: Participate and contribute to an innovative approach to being the church that provides a taste of the Kingdom and a community for discipleship in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle.  

Responsibilities: 1. Build on existing and develop new relationships in the neighborhood (especially cross-culturally). 2. Develop a network of acquaintances in the neighborhood apartment building in which you live. 3. Support existing partnerships and develop new missional opportunities in the neighborhood. 4. Coordinate 4th Sunday “worship in community service” opportunities.  5. Research and take steps toward new models of ministry for congregation and youth. 6. Assist in worship, community care, teaching, preaching, retreats as, social media as gifted and called upon. 7. Participate in a CLIMB ON community group.
