Interim Choir Dir. - Northminster

Seattle Presbytery

Purpose:

The Choir Director is responsible for preparing and directing the choir for worship on Sunday, and for special services during the year and assisting in other phases of the church’s music program.

This is an interim position that concludes at the end of June, 2018. The holder of the position may apply for a permanent Choir Director position if and when such a job is posted. The holder of the position, in consultation with the Pastor, Worship and Music and Personnel, may organize special music for July and August 2018; this decision will be made before May 2018.

Accountability:

The Choir Director serves under the authority of the Session of the church, ordinarily in consultation with Worship and Music Committee, and under the direction of the Pastor.

Facility Support/Custodian - Lake City PC

Seattle Presbytery

Part-time, hourly position, working a minimum of 10 hours per week performing routine custodial duties as assigned by the Facility Manager. Scheduled hours will normally be on Fridays and Saturdays to provide a staff presence in the building when occasional meetings are held on those days. Additional hours may be assigned when large events are held at the church requiring extra custodial services. Dir. of Youth Ministry - Redmond PC

We seek to faithfully follow Jesus Christ in the 21st century, pursuing vibrant worship, spiritual formation, and service to others. Ministries to children and youth are of paramount importance to our PCUSA community. Today we are a vital community of approximately 200 members and friends. At Redmond Presbyterian (RPC), we want each person to know they matter to God and to us. We intentionally focus on age-appropriate (6th – 12th Grade) opportunities to experience faith development.

Responsibilities: (will vary depending on hours negotiated)

·       Design program, select curriculum, and oversee budget of Youth Ministry programs: for Middle School Youth (Grades 6-8) and High School Youth (Grades 9-12).

·       Equip, call, organize, train, and encourage volunteers & parents for effective ministry

·       Integrate Youth Ministry program within the whole life of the church.

·       Lead Sunday morning Youth education program across both age groups, assisted by volunteers where appropriate.

·       Lead regular evening and/or weekend Youth group meetings for both Middle School and High School groups respectively.

·       Ensure risk management and child protection policies are established, maintained and enforced.

·       Meet with other church staff and volunteers to plan, oversee, and support programs and events, including but not limited to Mission, recreational and worship-related activities.

·       Facilitate new member/family assimilation process in collaboration with the Pastor & others

Designated Young Adult Coordinator - Bethany PC

Hours:                                    Part time, 10-12 hours per week (to include time on Sunday mornings, bi-weekly Wednesday staff meetings)

Rate of Pay:                         $900 per month; salaried exempt.

Qualifications/Gifts:          Personal commitment to and deep walk with Jesus Christ; strong relational ability; energy and enthusiasm; creative problem solver who goes outside the box; ability to mobilize a team. 

Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

Hire Date:                             Position begins late October, 2017 (through June 2018)
