Job Description

University Presbyterian Church of Seattle, WA (www.upc.org), a dynamic and Christ-centered church in the PC(USA) denomination, is looking for an experienced and qualified individual to join the staff as their Director of Children’s Ministry. This person would lead the Children’s Ministry staff while working under the mission and vision of Family Life Ministries to live out the church’s vision of “Every Member a Minister: Sharing Hope In Jesus Christ.” The goal of the ministry is to engage in dynamic Christ-centered ministry with children, students, families, and more. This person will be responsible for supervising both the Director of Early Childhood Ministry and the Director of Elementary Age Ministry. Together, they will collaborate with the Family Life Ministries staff to build a dynamic children’s ministry that engages children and families, Nursery – 5th grade.

Qualifications for this position include a deep and growing faith in Jesus Christ. The Director of Children’s Ministry implements the mission and vision of UPC by providing leadership for Children’s Ministry. The Director will lead the efforts of the Children’s staff, elders and volunteer leadership teams to support vision, build strong discipling relationships between volunteers and children, create quality programs, and support parents as the primary influence in their children’s faith development. A college degree is required and a Master’s is preferred as well as a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience leading a church-based children’s ministry in a large church setting with multiple programs or equivalent (preferably in the same position.)

Interim Choir Dir. - Northminster

The Choir Director is responsible for preparing and directing the choir for worship on Sunday, and for special services during the year and assisting in other phases of the church’s music program.

This is an interim position that concludes at the end of June, 2018. The holder of the position may apply for a permanent Choir Director position if and when such a job is posted. Facility Support/Custodian - Lake City PC

Dir. of Youth Ministry - Redmond PC

At Redmond Presbyterian (RPC), we want each person to know they matter to God and to us. We intentionally focus on age-appropriate (6th – 12th Grade) opportunities to experience faith development.

·       Design program, select curriculum, and oversee budget of Youth Ministry programs: for Middle School Youth (Grades 6-8) and High School Youth (Grades 9-12).

·       Lead Sunday morning Youth education program across both age groups, assisted by volunteers where appropriate.

The Communications and Office Administrator will direct our church communications strategy using a variety of tools to communicate to our church family and broader community about the worship, life, and mission of our church. He or she will also provide administrative support, serving as a welcoming presence to all those who contact our church, responding to them in a gracious, responsible, and caring manner.

As a church community, Southminster is marked by our love for Jesus, each other, and those we serve. We are a generous congregation with a strong sense of community. The Communications and Office Administrator will work with our small pastoral staff team and our volunteer Session (or board of elders).
