Calvin Church is looking for a master multi-tasker and superb communicator to join us in Forming Community, Transforming Lives, and Reforming Our World.

This position manages information systems, supervises support staff and volunteers, and coordinates communications to maintain a consistent message and identity for Calvin Church.

Responsibilities:

• Manage administrative staff and volunteers
• Direct and maintain network-based hardware and software, communications equipment, and information systems
• Create, edit and distribute church-wide internal print and electronic publications
• Review content and presentation of external promotional materials

St. John the Baptist in West Seattle seeks a Minister of Community Life for 25 hours/week. The primary tasks for this position include administrative support, programmatic oversight, database and calendar set up and maintenance, and working with volunteers. In addition, the Minister for Community Life interfaces with vendors, supports church staff and parishioners, provides welcome and hospitality to weekday visitors, and performs general office management tasks. Knowledge of or willingness to learn Microsoft Publisher, Word, Excel; Online People database (Realm) and Website Content Management preferred. This is an hourly position, paid at $19.50-$22.00/hour, depending on experience. Benefits include three weeks’ paid vacation, and pension in line with the Policy of the Diocese of Olympia. Ideal candidates will possess advanced knowledge of basic accounting skills, Quickbooks (Non- Profit edition), Intuit Payroll, general knowledge of pledge and offering procedures (experience with Shepherd’s Staff church management software desired but not required) and be technologically savvy.
