The Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising (ECRF) is a four-day intensive program (note arrival is Sunday, October 25) with a practical application project, offered specifically for leaders in churches, nonprofits, and religious social service organizations. The Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising program provides the research, tools, and training to meet the growing needs of religious leaders to inspire and transform philanthropic giving within their congregation and community.

Space limited to 25 participants. Discount: First 12 registrants receive $150 off tuition. 

Benefits of ECRF training:  Participants will gain an understanding of cultural, organizational and philanthropic practices unique to religious institutions. In addition, participants will gain skills for communicating effectively with donors motivated by spiritual and religious values, in order to encourage them to experience the joy of generous giving.

Sessions include:

  • Nurturing Generous Congregations and Organizations
  • Nurturing Generous Donors
  • Fundraising as Ministry
  • Shaping a Theology of Money

Upon completion of the courses, participants will design either a year-round stewardship program or annual-giving (fundraising) program, including an evaluation of the program upon completion. Upon completion of this program, the Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising will be awarded.

Who should attend? Religious leaders in faith-based organizations and institutions who wish to learn more about the spirituality of fundraising and gain a core foundation in fundraising principles. The program is open and specifically tailored to all faith traditions. Typical titles of attendees include:

Does this training help meet the Certified Fund Raising Professional credential? Yes, full participation in the ECRF: Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising is applicable for 22 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or re-certification.
