Join the John Perkins Center and youth leaders across the region at the 2017 Justice Speaks Student Leadership Event! Justice Speaks will engage students alongside their faith in areas of social justice and civic engagement through presentations, performances, and break-out groups. This leadership event is designed to provide creative spaces where you can experience your motivations for faith and social justice. The two-day event will use performances, story-telling, and artistic expressions to interact with topics focused on justice for the Stranger, justice for the Prisoner, and justice for the Land and its People. Our hope is for everyone to walk away with new relationships, role models, and an inspiration to pursue justice. Performances will include: Naomi Wachira, and Good Foot Collective. Speakers will include: Randy Woodley, Sabrina Chacon-Barajas, Jerrell Davis, Kim Powe, Sel Bariamichael, Emmanuel Mancilla, and Lish Olson.
Free event.
