Presbyterian Peace Fellowship update on May 6: Our prayers are with the Presbyterian Church of Colombia, where violence from police and state security forces across the country has taken the lives of dozens of people and wounded hundreds. The violence is an attempt to quell the voice of the Colombian people protesting neoliberal health reform, the third and worst yet wave of Covid, ongoing lack of peace accords implementation, and more.
The Iglesia Presbiteriana de Colombia is specifically asking folks to participate in a time of prayer this Saturday (May 8 at 4pm Pacific Time). If so moved, you are invited to share your prayers on Facebook at that time and tag the IPC to show your support.
Translation of image: "TIME OF PRAYER. The three Presbyteries that form the Synod of the Presbyterian Church of Colombia, convene all of their churches to a time of prayer for peace and comfort for the Colombian people. Date: Saturday 8th of May at 6pm." [6pm Colombian time is 4pm PT.]
