Interim Choir Dir. - Lake City PC

Seattle Presbytery

B. Choral anthems shall be sung under the direction of the choir director at worship services three Sundays each month, from two weeks after Labor Day through Father’s Day. On other Sundays, arrangements for special music from soloists or other musicians shall be made by choir director.

C. The choir director shall select all choral anthems to be sung by the choir. Music shall be appropriate for a Presbyterian worship service and, if possible, support the sermon theme. D. The director will be responsible for helping the choir to perform to the very best of their ability, including appearance, sound and delivery. Recruitment of new choir members is always welcome.

E. Choir learns three new pieces to perform with other choirs, and performs two already-familiar pieces for the annual North Helpline Benefit Concert on the first Sunday in November, and presents expanded music programs twice a year during Sunday worship, once during Advent and again on Easter. Arrangements for special soloists, accompanists or instrumentalists will be made by the choir director.

F. The choir director shall work primarily with our existing music library, but may also purchase music and music supplies for the choir program. All expenditures shall be under the budgetary control of the Worship Committee.

G. The choir director shall give advice and assistance whenever requested by the Pastor.

H. Choir director shall attend monthly Worship Committee meetings, normally after worship on the last Sunday of the month for 1.5 hours, to facilitate communication and planning.
