ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

Position Description (10-12 hours/week)

Redmond Presbyterian Church (RPC) is seeking a dynamic and creative individual who can help further the work of our church through assisting our staff.  This individual will display strong organizational skills along with a people-centered style which seeks to empower others to succeed. Responsibilities

·      Produce weekly bulletins, PowerPoint slides, and other worship aids

·      Design and coordinate printed and digital resources for weekly worship

·      Provide graphic design support for online and print communications

·      Compile and distribute monthly Session packet and communicate with Elders regarding upcoming meetings.

·      Prepare large mailings when needed (Stewardship drive, thank you letters, etc.)

·      Provide administrative support to Pastor in all areas of church ministry as needed

·      Serve as a resource for church committees, sending emails and printing documents for meetings

·      Recruit weekly volunteers to assist in worship and provide resources for volunteers

·      Manage public communication of church events via weekly emails and website updates

·      Keep the church calendar up to date including website calendar

·      Keep church membership directory up to date, update as necessary, make printed copies available to officers and the congregation

·      Manage vendor relationships related to office supplies, building maintenance, and janitorial services

·      Other projects as directed by the Pastor

Requirements

·      Capable of using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Accountability

·      This coordinator will work directly with the Pastor and other RPC staff.

·      This coordinator will report to the Pastor and Human Resources Elder.

Compensation

·      $20 per hour for 10-12 hours each week.

·      This position requires 10-12 hours per week distributed over three or four days per week. Schedule to be mutually agreed upon by employee and the Pastor.

Term of Employment

·      This position is not eligible for paid time off (no earned vacation time).

·      This position is eligible for sick leave per Washington State law.
