Minister of Music - Woodland Park PC

Seattle Presbytery

Position Opening – Minister of Music

Woodland Park Presbyterian Church (WPPC) is seeking a part-time (15 hrs/wk) minister of music to join us in our dynamic ministry. WPPC is an exciting place to be right now as we continue to expand our warm, inclusive, and creative community of socially-active believers and seekers. An energetic and creative pastor is leading a congregation known for inviting the community into its art and music life.  WPPC’s members have a deep love for traditional organ and choral music as well as an appetite for exposure to and participation in diverse musical traditions. A candidate for this position should feel free to be creative and take musical risks. WPPC also reaches out to our neighborhood through our arts and music series and invites candidates with an interest in fostering “musical outreach”. As this is a combined conductor/accompanist position, this person should be comfortable behind our pipe organ (2-division, 18-rank Casavant, 1963) while conducting our small choir. We don’t expect our ideal candidate to have all listed qualifications; we want someone who will work hard, be a team player, and show real passion for our mission. Candidates who do not play the organ but are otherwise qualified are encouraged to apply and we will consider splitting the position. Compensation for combined music director/organist position commensurate with experience in range from $15,000 to $20,000 per year.

A complete job description can be found at www.wppcseattle.org. Interested persons should send cover letter and resume to wppcmusic@gmail.com.
