Position Title:  Director, John Knox Community Preschool (JKCP)

Time Requirement: Fulltime – Exempt

Accountability: This position reports to the Head of Staff, collaborates with the Preschool Ministry Team and is ultimately accountable to the Session of the John Knox Presbyterian Church (JKPC).

Summary:

Provides leadership and direction, has overall responsibility for the content, relationships and quality of this ministry.  With a Christ-like attitude, encourages and supports teaching staff and Preschool families to meet social, academic and spiritual needs. Ensures the Preschool operates within the church polity, aligns with the John Knox Presbyterian Church’s mission and vision, and integrates with other ministries and directors.

Children's Ministry Dir. - Magnolia PC

Purpose: To provide leadership for Sunday morning programs for children in preschool through grade 4.  To nurture children in knowing God’s love.

Qualifications: Deep commitment to Jesus Christ and his church; love for children and experience teaching children in a church setting; ability to motivate, encourage, and mentor volunteers; good organizational and communication skills.  Experience in children’s music leadership, while not a prerequisite, would be an asset in this position.
