PURPOSE

The purpose of the Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church’s (CKPC) Director of Children’s Ministry position is to develop, organize, maintain and support a ministry program for children from newborns through 5th grade, to provide support for families, and to mentor the volunteers who serve in the children’s Sunday school program.  The goal of the program is to have children discover God’s love, the Bible and Christian living, so that they may develop and grow a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Childcare Attendant - Magnolia PC

Job Posting:  Childcare Attendant – Magnolia Presbyterian Church

The general responsibilities of the childcare attendant are to provide a loving, safe environment for our young children, to help them with age appropriate activities, and to take care of any needs the children may have.

The childcare attendant will cover the nursery (infants – age 3) during our worship service year-round, assist our regular Sunday School teachers with preschool or elementary classes on weeks when there are no children in the nursery, and ensure that kid spaces are tidied up at the end of the day.

Hours:  Regular hours are 9:00 am to between 12 and 12:30 pm on Sunday mornings.  Summer hours are 10:00 am to 12:00 or 12:30 pm.  A few additional hours are possible periodically for special activities or services.

Compensation:  $15.00 per hour, averaging 2.5 - 3.5 hours per Sunday.  Each week’s precise hours to be recorded on a time card in the church office.

Music Dir. - Wedgwood PC

Wedgwood Presbyterian Church is seeking a classically trained musician to serve as music director for our congregation. The position includes directing and accompanying the choir in worship services and rehearsals, accompanying the congregation and providing non-choral music in worship services, planning for both choral and non-choral music, and participating in worship planning with the pastor and worship ministry team. As a congregation, we are theologically and politically diverse. We are committed to hospitality, service to the community, and spiritual growth, and there is a strong commitment to social justice among our members and friends.

Our worship services are traditional, and we follow the Revised Common Lectionary with special attention to the seasons and festivals of the liturgical year. We enjoy a variety of music in worship but tend toward the traditional and classical. Our worship services are accompanied by a piano and a pipe organ, and we enjoy the presence of other musical instruments as part of our services.
