SPIRITUAL EXERCISES IN EVERYDAY LIFE (SEEL)
Are you thirsty? That is, spiritually thirsting for something more? Do you want to grow and go deeper spiritually, but wonder where to turn for assistance? Consider Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life, a prayer retreat designed to “fit” into today’s active lifestyle.
Patterned after St. Ignatius’ prayer retreat, participants are invited into a deeper walk with God through contemplation on the scriptures, listening/contemplative prayer, and a half day retreat each month for 9 months (Sept-May). In addition, participants meet twice a month with a trained spiritual director and commit to the discipline of one hour of prayer a day. Past participants report transformative experiences of God’s grace throughout the retreat. Groups meet in Seattle and Tacoma, starting in September 2013.
