Riddell Williams and GGLO Architects invites you to learn more about: Opportunities for Faith-Based Organizations in Redeveloping Urban Property. If you are interested in transforming your organization's current urban property into better facilities for contemporary mission, please attend this presentation by leading figures with direct experience in major projects in this area.
The program will focus on three main topics:
- Rev. Eric O. Jacobsen, Pastor of First Presbyterian Tacoma and author of The Space Between (Baker Academic 2013) and Sidewalks in the Kingdom: New Urbanism and the Christian Faith (Brazos, 2003), will discuss faith-based facilities as inviting, outwardly facing community spaces
- Architect Sean Canady and attorney David Buck will provide examples of mixed-use redevelopments and a path for achieving them in the context of major changes in Seattle neighborhoods
- Greg Wallace, a lay leader at First United Methodist Church, will review steps along that church's high profile migration from a beloved old landmark to an exciting new one
Specific topics covered will include developments in Seattle zoning and light rail that favor new urban spaces, ideas for transformative spaces, approaches to financing and planning, and a pathway from conception to completion.
Seating is limited. Please reserve your space by calling Kim Tran at 206.389.1710 or sending an email to ktran@riddellwilliams.com no later than Monday, May 19.
