5/20: "Who is my Neighbor" - An Immigration Forum @ BelPres

  • BelPres 1717 Bellevue Way NE Bellevue, WA 98004 USA (map)

Jesus commands, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," but who is our neighbor?

You don't have to look very far to see that people surrounding us are affected directly or indirectly by immigration issues. The Eastside is increasingly more diverse; over a third of Bellevue's population is foreign born.

In order to better love our neighbor as ourselves, we have the opportunity to listen to what Scripture says about welcoming the stranger.. On Tuesday, May 20, the Rev. Dr. Scott Dudley and author and speaker Matthew Soerens, of World Relief-Chicago, will lead a church-wide conversation on biblical justice and immigrants. You are invited to come engage your hearts and minds at the "Who is my neighbor?"
