9/25: PC(USA) Confirmation: Big God Big Questions Workshop

  • Mercer Island PC 3605 84th Ave SE Mercer Island, WA, 98040 (map)

Join Mark Hinds (Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, Geneva Press) to learn more about the brand-new confirmation curriculum for the PC(USA): Big God Big Questions: Confirmation for a Growing Faith. Based on the findings of the Confirmation Project, it is focused on preparing youth to authentically answer the traditional membership questions:

   - Trusting in the gracious mercy of God, do you turn from the ways of sin and renounce
evil and its power in the world?
   - Who is your Lord and Savior?
   - Will you be Christ's faithful disciple obeying his word and showing his love?
   - Will you devote yourself to the church's teaching and fellowship, to the breaking
         of bread and the prayers?

Big God Big Questions equips students to employ the study of Scripture, tradition, and church, to tell their own story as Christian believers in the context of their local congregational experiences. Download the Scope and Sequence. Order the free sampler, here.  Learn more online.

Workshop Facilitator: Mark Hinds (Presbyterian Publishing Corporation Editor, Geneva Press Executive Editor). Mark will also be available before and after the event to discuss any other curriculum needs.

Curriculum will be available for purchase at the event. Event will include lunch. Youth leaders are also invited to stay after the event for a time of fellowship and resource sharing.
