6/16: Coastland Commons Anthology Launch

  • Seattle Presbytery 1013 8th Avenue Seattle, WA, 98104 United States (map)

For the last two years during the pandemic, Coastland Commons has been providing monthly space on Zoom for reflection and creativity. Each gathering, we provided a guiding reflection that set the tone for an extended amount of unstructured time for our community to engage their own creativity. Some wrote poetry, journaled, sketched, painted; others played their instruments, read books, listened to music, or sat in contemplation.

We were so moved by the creative work that came from those evenings that we wanted to figure out a way to gather them up and share them more broadly. We are thrilled to announce that we have self-published our first book called “A Creative Anthology from Pandemic Times” full of our community’s creative work from this period!

We want you to come experience it with us, so we are holding a launch event for the anthology on Thursday, June 16th from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (add to iCal/Google Calendar/Outlook) at Cathedral in Ballard. We will be providing wine, snacks, and featuring live music and works from the artists during the program portion of the evening.

We are offering the anthology for a suggested donation of $30 to help cover the costs of printing and to support the ongoing work of Coastland Commons.
