Workshop themes include interfaith dialogue & approach to scripture; storytelling for community action; immigrant & refugee accompaniment; “habits of the heart” for healthy conversations; mental illness & the church; racial justice – through Scripture & in congregations; conflict & resolution in Colombia; church in the neighborhood; dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery; and creative worship.  

Nominate a community champion: At the conference, we’ll also celebrate the recipients of our annual Gertrude Apel Pioneering Spirit Awards, honoring a congregation and an individual who embody Rev. Apel’s spirit of ground-breaking, spirit-filled justice making. We encourage you to nominate. Learn more and submit nominations via the event website.
