Following Jesus is the most exciting journey we could ever be on. We experience incomparable joy and peace, but along the way, circumstances and situations come against our minds and fill our surroundings to depress that joy. Our heart and mind feel far away from God, and our energy for the spiritual life wanes. What do we do?
In this 6-month retreat, we will be exploring St. Ignatius of Loyola’s “14 rules for discernment of spirits,” which teaches us how to resist the evil ones’ attempts to obstruct our relationship with Jesus. We learn to be alert, understand, and resist being drawn into spiritual bondage and desolation.
